It was an outstanding week for former Florida State players in the National Football League, but the best week belonged to a former FSU linebacker who continues to have a Pro Bowl caliber season.
Jacksonville Jaguars’ linebacker Telvin Smith is the Professio”Nole” Athlete of the Week for the week of November 30th through December 6th after recording nine tackles in Sunday’s 42-39 loss to the Tennessee Titans.
In addition to the nine tackles, Smith also had a pair of sacks and a tackle for loss in the defeat. Through 13 weeks of the NFL season, Smith is one of just six players to have already recorded 100 tackles. Smith ranks third in the entire league with 113 total stops.
Smith and the Jaguars will host the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
