Professio”Nole” Athlete of the Week: Rashad Greene

Florida State has plenty of players in the NFL on both offense and defense, but this week’s top performer made the biggest impact on special teams.

Jacksonville Jaguars’ rookie wide receiver Rashad Greene is the Professio”Nole” Athlete of the Week for the week of December 7th through the 13th after returning a punt 73 yards for a touchdown in Sunday’s win over the Indianapolis Colts.

With the Jaguars leading 16-13 in the third quarter of Sunday’s 51-16 win, Greene took a punt from Indianapolis’ Pat McAfee and cut right before outrunning a number of Colts to the end zone. Greene added a reception for 18 yards.

Greene’s electrifying return was the third touchdown of his career. The FSU rookie and Seminoles’ all-time leading receiver has two touchdown grabs on the year.
