While Florida State made plenty of noise in Gainesville on Saturday night, it was a rather quiet week for former Seminoles playing in the NFL. One of the top performances however, came from one of the more veteran FSU football alumni.
San Francisco 49ers’ wide receiver Anquan Boldin is the Professio”Nole” Athlete of the Week for the week of November 23rd through the 29th after catching eight passes for 93 yards in Sunday’s 19-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
For Boldin, the eight receptions tied a season-high and the 93 yards was his third highest output of the season. Despite being 35 years old, Boldin leads the 49ers with 558 yards receiving this season and has an outside chance at getting to 1,000 for the eighth time in his NFL career.
