FSU Football Player of the Week: Dalvin Cook

It has become an almost bi-weekly honor to name Dalvin Cook the Florida State Football Player of the Week, but that is what happens when a player like Cook comes around. It seems that no matter the game, no matter the situation, he always appears in a big way when the team needs him to.

For his performance against the No. 1 ranked Clemson Tigers, Dalvin Cook is the Florida State Football Player of the Week for Week 10.

Cook, a sophomore running back, amassed 194 rushing yards and a touchdown against a top 25 Clemson defense on Saturday. His first carry was a 75-yard touchdown run and he finished the game with a 9.2 yards-per-carry average. Often times, he was the only offense Florida State could muster.

Dalvin now has 1,231 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on the season, while also chipping in 185 receiving yards and a score. With similar competition having poor outings this past weekend, he has possibly thrust himself back in the discussion for the Heisman Trophy.

The Seminoles return to action with a 12:30 P.M. eastern time game against N.C. State on November 14th at home.
