Seminoles Get Small Bump in Polls After 4-0 Week

After a 1-4 week, Florida State bounced back this past week, going 4-0 with a victory over a top-10 Florida team. The Seminoles are 30-12 for the year and felt a slight bump in this week’s polls.

For the second straight week, the Collegiate Baseball Poll was where Florida State fared best. The Seminoles moved up one spot this week from No. 9 to No. 8. Florida State also moved up just one spot from 13th to 12th in both the NCBWA Poll and Baseball America Poll.

FSU moved up two spots in each of the other two polls. In both the D1Baseball.com Poll and USA Today Coaches Poll, the Seminoles climbed from the No. 13 spot to 11th.

Though the Seminoles rank outside the top 10 in four of the five polls, Florida State is No. 6 in the RPI and that could change for the better with a strong showing this week.

After hosting Stetson on Tuesday, the Seminoles will open a 3-game series with Miami. The Hurricanes rank third in the RPI and as high as sixth in the human polls.
