‘Noles Ranked 8th in Three Polls

Three of the five college baseball polls now have Florida State ranked No. 8 in the country. The Seminoles put together another solid week, going 3-1 with a win over Alabama State and two victories over Virginia Tech.

Florida State finds itself ranked eighth in the NCBWA, Collegiate Baseball and USA Today Coaches Poll. The No. 8 spot is a jump for the ‘Noles in both the coaches poll and NCBWA poll. FSU was previously ninth in the coaches and 10th in the NCBWA.

The ranking in the Collegiate Baseball poll is actually one spot below where the Seminoles peaked last week. In the Baseball America poll, the ‘Noles held firm at No. 10.

The lone poll not to have Florida State in the top 10 is the D1Baseball.com Poll. This week, the Seminoles moved up two spots from 13th to 11th.

FSU will have a chance to make some noise on Tuesday night as it takes on rival Florida in Jacksonville. The Gators rank as high as third in this week’s polls.
