FSU Baseball Player of the Week: Bryant Holtmann

It was a 2-2 week for Florida State as the Seminoles topped Stetson on Tuesday before dropping two of three to Louisville. For one senior pitcher however, the stellar performances continued.

Bryant Holtmann is the Florida State Baseball Player of the Week for the week of May 4th through the 10th after not allowing an earned run in eight innings pitched.

Holtmann picked up the win in Tuesday’s 3-1 win over Stetson, allowing just three hits and three walks in seven shutout innings. Holtmann improved to a 6-1 for the season, which is tied with Dylan Silva for the best record on the team.

Holtmann did allow two runs on Sunday in a 6-5 loss to Louisville, but both were unearned. As a senior, Holtmann is having a career-year. His 3.18 ERA is second among Florida State starters behind only ace Mike Compton.

The Seminoles close the regular season with a 3-game set against Clemson at home beginning Thursday.
