Despite National Championship, Florida State football tickets can’t crack TiqIQ Top 25

The Florida St. Seminoles are coming off a school record 14-win season in 2013, winning their third National Championship overall and are starting this year ranked No. 1. However, Florida State football tickets this season do not rank within the top 25 most expensive college football tickets at a current average price of $115 in the secondary market. According to TiqIQ’s Top 25, Florida State sits as the first team on the bubble at No. 28.

Florida St. had a tougher than expected time in their first game of the year, defeating 18 point underdogs the Oklahoma St. Cowboys by a 37-31 score at AT&T Stadium. The Seminoles didn’t display their best stuff, perhaps suffering from the same disease that commonly infects other defending national champions as FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher admitted after the game his team felt the pressure in being ranked No. 1 and everything that comes with in trying to repeat as back to back national titles.

However, the team now thinks it will settle down as the next opponent on the Florida State football schedule is a matchup with Citadel Bulldogs on September 6 at Doak Campbell Stadium.  The Seminoles are big favorites this weekend to dispatch the Bulldogs at home, but will not be able to relax much at all this season with a very tough schedule ahead as the college football season stretches its legs.

Florida St. will have upcoming games against Clemson, Notre Dame at home, and they’ll travel to Louisville and Miami and finish the season against Florida.
