In this week’s edition of Seminole Sound-off, we asked our readers and followers what the first Florida State jersey they ever owned was.

I had been watching Florida State sports since the early 1990s, but didn’t get my first jersey until Christmas of 1999. FSU was in the national championship game against Virginia Tech and the most dynamic player in getting the ‘Noles there was wide receiver Peter Warrick.
Warrick wore No. 9, so that was the jersey I wanted, but he had been suspended earlier in the year for accepting heavily discounted merchandise from a Tallahassee Dillard’s, so most places had stopped selling her jersey.
Instead of getting a Warrick jersey, I got a white No. 23 Travis Minor jersey, which I watched head coach Bobby Bowden’s Seminoles complete their first perfect season in.
