Professio”Nole” Athlete of the Week: Telvin Smith

While former Florida State All-American catcher Buster Posey is headed to a third World Series, the former Seminole that most stood out this week on the professional level came from a rookie NFL linebacker.

Jacksonville Jaguars’ linebacker Telvin Smith is the Professio”Nole” Athlete of the Week for the week of October 13th through the 19th for his play on Sunday. Smith recorded four stops, a sack and grabbed his first career interception as the Jaguars topped the Cleveland Browns 24-6 for their first win of the season.

Smith now has 24 tackles and two sacks on the season and has been a solid selection for the Jaguars. The rookie from Florida State will look to try and help Jacksonville make it two straight victories as they host the Miami Dolphins this upcoming Sunday.
