Professio”Nole” Athlete of the Week: Anquan Boldin

For a third straight week, the Professio”Nole” Athlete of the Week goes to a NFL wide receiver and for the second time in three weeks, that receiver is Anquan Boldin of the San Francisco 49ers. Boldin was unstoppable on Sunday against the Washington Redskins, making him the Professio”Nole” Athlete for the week of November 17th through the 23rd.

In Sunday’s 17-13 victory over the Washington Redskins, Boldin caught a season-high nine passes for season-high 137 yards and a touchdown. Boldin’s 30-yard touchdown grab in the first quarter gave the 49ers an early lead before San Francisco rallied to win late.

Boldin put forward his best effort of the year and now sits just 175 yards shy of hitting the 1,000-yard mark for the seventh time in his 12-year career. Boldin leads San Francisco and ranks 13th in the entire NFL in receiving yards.
