ShareUpon further investigation by the university, Florida State has elected to suspend quarterback Jameis Winston for the entirety of Saturday’s ACC opener against Clemson.
Sources say Winston stood on a table in the student union and yelled a sexually explicit quote from a viral video and social media meme. Winston was initially suspended for the first half of the contest.
With Winston out, sophomore Sean Maguire will make his first career start. Maguire is 3-for-5 this season with 28 yards passing.
