Winston Suspended for First Half vs. Clemson

Florida State sophomore quarterback Jameis Winston has been suspended for the first half of Saturday’s ACC opener against Clemson. According to sources, Winston stood on top of a table Tuesday in the FSU student union and yelled a sexually explicit saying from a popular social media meme.

In Winston’s absence, redshirt sophomore Sean Maguire is slated to get his first career start. Maguire has just 26 career pass attempts and is 3-for-5 for 28 yards this season.

This will be Winston’s first football suspension. Winston served a suspension from the Florida State baseball team for infamously taking seafood from a local supermarket. Winston passed for a career-high 444 yards against the Tigers last season.
