‘Noles Still Ranked #1 After Bye

Top-ranked and defending national champion Florida State was idle this week, but felt no drastic change in the AP Poll as a result. Florida State lost one first place vote and easily remains in the top spot ahead of Oregon.

Alabama, Oklahoma and Auburn remained third, fourth and fifth. FSU holds 37 of a possible 60 first place votes in the AP Poll.

In the Amway Coaches Poll, Florida State also held onto the top spot. Alabama remained behind the Seminoles at #2 while Oregon jumped Oklahoma to move into the third spot. Behind the fourth-ranked Sooners, is Auburn.

After a week off, Florida State will host Clemson in the ACC opener for both teams. The Tigers, who are ranked 22nd in the AP Poll and 24th in the Coaches Poll, were also idle this week.
