FSU’s Trey Marshall Earns Weekly Honors from ACC

Florida State sophomore safety Trey Marshall was the only Seminole to earn weekly honors from the Atlantic Coast Conference on Monday.

Marshall was named ACC Co-Defensive Back of the Week for his efforts in FSU’s 24-16 win over Wake Forest on Saturday. Marshall finished with a game-high 11 total tackles including seven solo stops and a pass break-up in the win.

Marshall is the seventh different FSU player to earn ACC weekly honors this season and the second to win Defensive Back of the Week. Junior cornerback Jalen Ramsey has earned that title twice already this season.

The conference also announced a noon eastern start time for Florida State’s October 17th home contest against Louisville. The game will air either on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. FSU will play host to Miami this Saturday at 8:00 P.M. eastern time on ABC.
