James Named ACC Defensive Back of the Week
Florida State freshman safety Derwin James has been named ACC Defensive Back of the Week after recording 10 tackles and a sack in Saturday’s 34-17 win over N.C. State. James ranks second on the Seminoles with 58 total tackles, second in sacks with three and third in tackles for loss with six.

Maguire Will Remain Starter
Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher has confirmed that redshirt junior Sean Maguire will be FSU’s starting quarterback moving forward. Maguire passed for 231 yards and two touchdowns in relief of Everett Golson in Saturday’s 34-17 victory over N.C. State. Maguire had started the previous two weeks.

FSU-Florida Set for 7:30 P.M.
The annual rivalry contest between Florida State and Florida will kick off after 7:30 P.M. eastern time and will air on ESPN. This year’s contest will be played on November 28th at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville. The Seminoles have won in each of their last two trips to “The Swamp”.

‘Noles to Host Charleston Southern in 2016
Florida State’s list of opponents for next season is complete as the Seminoles have added Charleston Southern to their non-conference slate. FSU will also face Ole Miss, South Florida and Florida. The contest is scheduled for September 10th in Tallahassee. FSU defeated the Buccaneers 62-10 when the teams met in 2011. FSU will pay Charleston Southern $475,000 to play the game.
