Seminoles Peak at 7th in Polls

After a 3-1 week that concluded with Florida State taking two of three from rival Miami, the Seminoles are up in four of the five college baseball polls.

The poll most favorable to FSU continues to be the Collegiate Baseball Poll, where the Seminoles moved up a spot this week to No. 7. Florida State moved into the top 10 at No. 9 in both the Baseball America and D1Baseball.com polls. The ‘Noles were previously 12th, according to Baseball America and 11th in the D1Baseball.com rankings.

Florida State moved up just one spot in the NCBWA Poll, from 12th to 11th. The lone poll where the Seminoles had no movement was the USA Today Coaches Poll. Florida State held firm at No. 11 this week.

Florida State will not play a midweek game before opening up a 3-game set against Coastal Carolina on Friday. The Chanticleers are ranked in two of the polls, coming in 23rd in the D1Baseball.com Poll and 25th in the NCBWA Poll.
